Coach Mitchell is entering his 34th year of teaching. He taught 30 years at Lakeside/Dekalb were he coached soccer for 29 years and football for 27 years. His record in soccer at Lakeside was 329-80-29, and his teams won five Soccer State Championships. He is in his fourth of coaching soccer at Peachtree Ridge and coached football for two years at the Ridge.

Coach Mitchell teaches Business Education. He received his undergraduate degree, Master degree and Specialist degree from West Georgia College in Carrollton. Coach is married to Cheryl and has one daughter Jordan.
